Christmas Inspired Outfit - Atuendo Inspirado Navidad

Hi beauties. This outfit idea was inspired my the colors of Christmas which is around the corner aaaah!  Hence, the green sweater, fucsia and gold pumps ;)  I had meant to take pictures of this houndstooth skirt for a while now. This pattern can be very versatile, always stands out and goes great with these colors. And of course to make up for the bare legs, I'm wearing a warm top > Faux-fur Scarf-Hood-Gloves. Hola hermosas. Esta idea de vestuario fue inspirada en los colores de la Navidad la cual esta a la vuelta de la esquina aaaah! Por ende, los colores verde, tacones fucsia y oro ;) Quise tomar fotos de esta falda hace mucho ya. Este estampado puede ser bien versatil, siempre resalta tu look y va bien con estos colores. Desde luego para enmendar las piernas no abrigadas, use este pelo artificial que es 3 en 1 > bufanda-gorrito-guantes. Y tu ya estas vistiendo/usando cosas que reflejan estas fiestas? Hi everyone! How is it going?
I wanted to share the quote by Lady Murasaki Shikibu. I just read about her and it impacted me. She was a noblewoman and lady-in-waiting, a writer who emerged from Japan's glorious "Heian" period.

My world contains color, and I find beauty in it. If you haven't already noticed, I love color and I tend to wear it more during Spring and Summer. One of the things that caught my attention about Lady Murasaki is that  among many things that were expected for noblewoman, they had to master the art of dressing well including what color to wear when and where. Can you imagine that there is a color for every occasion... interesting!
On this occasion, I wanted to wear a colorful outfit for a spring day. I enjoy these days, you can wear a merino pullover or a blazer to keep you a little warm while the cold wind blows. I think I just became a fan of this color combo ~ yellow(or retro lemon)-orange-khaki and nude ;)

Hola a todos! Como han estado?
Quise compartir la frase de Lady Murasaki Shikibu. Recientemente lei sobre ella y me cautivo. Ella era una mujer de clase noble y asistente de la Emperatriz, era escritora quien emergio en Japon durante la era Heian.

Mi mundo contiene color, y encuentro belleza en el. Como ya has notado, me encanta vestir color y mucho mas durante Primavera y Verano. Una de las cosas que me llamo la atencion sobre Lady Murasaki es que una de las cosas que se esperaba de las mujeres de su clase era que dominen el arte de vestirse bien, como saber que color vestir dependiendo de la ocasion y lugar.....interesante!
En esta ocasion, me encanto vestir un atuendo colorido para un dia primaveral. Disfruto mucho estos dias, donde uno puede vestir un pulover o blazer que al mismo tiempo te mantiene abrigadita mientras el viento fresquito te acaricia.
Creo que me he convertido en una fan de esta combinacion de color ~ amarillo (o retro limon) - anaranjado- beige y color desnudo ;)

Hi everyone,
How are you? How was your Easter weekend? I spent mine in the beautiful city of Philadelphia. We went to spend some quality time with one of our dearest friends.
About the look: I guess many of you have already noticed that this coat is one of my latest favorites ;) (I usually wear this coat over thick sweaters or pullovers, but planning on wearing it over shirts when it gets less cold). I did pack warm clothes, but Saturday wasn't too cold so I couldn't wait to pair it with this leopard print shirt and my Zara khaki jeans. And to add a little bit of pop of color, I wore these pink leather earrings by Kitson.
Sometimes I try to mix patterns hoping that they look great. What do you think? Would you mix leopard print with tribal?

Como estas? Como la pasaste tu fin de semana santa? Yo la pase en la linda cuidad de Filadelfia con mi esposito, visitando a un querido amigo nuestro.
Sobre el atuendo: Creo que ya te has dado cuenta que este abrigo es mi favorito ultimamente ;) (usualmente, lo visto encima de sueters y pulovers, pero para dias menos frios planeo vestirlo encima de camisas o tops). Empaque ropa bien abrigada, pero el Sabado no fue tan frio asi es que no espere de vesir mi camisa de estampado de leopardo abajo de este abrigo. Lo combine con estos pantalones color kaki y para darle un poquin de color, use estos aretes rosados de cuero marca Kitson.
A veces intento mesclar estampados esperando que se vean bien. Que opinas? Tu mesclarias estampado de leopardo con tribales?

I hope you all enjoyed this week as it is the last week of March. It seems that winter wants to stick around for a little longer and it's fine by me, since I get to play dressing in layers ;) !
I wore this outfit last weekend. Black and Burgundy is one of my fav color combos. You can never go wrong with those two hues. I wanted to add a pop of color (blue) by wearing one of my fav necklaces. And to give it a more interesting look, I combined the whole outfit with this coat which features native american patterns (love it). I really hope you like this outfit idea ;) !

Espero que esten disfrutando de la ultima semana de el mes de Marzo. Parece que el invierno se quiere quedar por un ratico mas, lo cual esta bien para mi ya que me gusta jugar vistiendo capaz de ropa ;)!
Vesti este atuendo el fin de semana pasada. Negro y Burgundy es uno de mis favoritos combos de colores, el cual nos puede salvar de cualquier apuro. Quise agregar un pop de color (azul) al vestir uno de mis collares favoritos. I'm sorry I was absent. Last week was a little bit busy trying to pass a very important Math test. I passed!! yaaay!. I took my spring break time (this week) to relax and take care of other things than school.
About the look:
I wore this outfit on a very cold day, switching between the parka/vest and the fur coat offered really different looks even though the t-shirt, jeans and shoes were the same. One outfit, two outwear ;)

Hi darlings!. How was your weekend? I hope it was beautiful. I really like leopard print and when I saw this sweater at Zara's website, I got to have it (besides, the price was great). The print is very pretty because the patterns are not too small nor too big. I chose a simple and classy way to wear it which is with a black skirt. I wanted to add small touches of color by wearing green earrings and red lipstick.

La verdad que me gusta mucho el estampado de leopardo, asi es que ni bien vi este sweater en la pagina de Zara, lo tuve que comprar (aparte que el precio estaba bueno). Este estampado es bien lindo porque el tamaño no es muy pequeño, ni muy grande. Para este sweater, elegi un estilo simple y clasico, el cual fue vestirlo con una falda negra. Agregue un poquito de color al usar aretes de color verde y paiz de labio rojo.

How is the weather where you live? Today it is snowing which I like because everything looks pretty, but at the same time it makes me not want to go outside because it's freaking cold lol.  Anyways, I took these pictures last weekend and as you can see it wasn't that cold. That's why I only wore a sweater with a wool vest and of course my boots. I didn't wear my regular lipstick since I wanted to keep it very casual and simple. I hope you like this cute outfit idea.

College Outfit: Houndstooth and Fringe

Hi dolls ! I hope you had a beautiful Christmas day !
Here I wanted to share one of the last outfits I wore to college. I normally wear something more casual, but this day I wanted to look chic and what better idea than wearing a houndstooth coat and fringe boots..yeah, I thought that pairing these two trends would make my outfit look fun, stylish and out of the ordinary. It's always good to break your routine (like wearing jeans and sneakers). I hope you like this outfit idea, enjoy it ;) !

Aqui les queria compartir el ultimo look que vesti para la preparatoria. Normalmente visto ropa casual, pero ese dia quise vestir un look mas sofisticado y que mejor manera de vestir un abrigo con graficas de "houndstooth" y botas de flecos...asi es, pense que vestir estas dos tendencias harian que todo el look se vea  divertido, estetico y fuera de lo comun. Siempre es bueno romper con la rutina de vestir vaqueros y zapatillas ;) Espero les guste esta idea de vestuario y que lo disfruten ;) !

The Elbow Patch Trend

I believe elbow patches were originally created to fix torn clothes. You know, when sometimes people couldn't afford new clothes, this was a clever way to keep wearing their garments -and we can keep using this tip ;) - Who would have thought that this little piece of fabric would make its way into one of the hottest fashion trends. This trend is no longer associated with college professors style or with the elderly. They come in many different colors ans shapes which will make your outfits look more interesting while adding a gentle class.
