Remembering Otakon Convention (I missed it this year)

Exactly two years ago I went to the Otakon Convention where tons of people who love Manga, Anime, and Asian pop culture gather together to have fun. I saw tons of great costumes, and I really had fun. I went dressed up as Hatsune Miku. *Picture below* (this pic it's not about fashion, but about making you smile) So that you can get to know a bit about me, and my sense of humor ^_^

Exactamente dos años atraz fui a la Convencion de Otakon donde todos aquellos que aman la Cultura Pop Asiatica y el Manga (dibujos animados japoneses) se juntan para pasarla re bien. La verdad que la pase lindo. Vi un monton de disfraces buenisimos. Yo me vesti de Hatsune Miku. *Foto de abajo* (este post no se trata de la moda, sino de hacerte sonreir) Para que conoscas una parte de mi personalidad y mi sentido de humor ^_^

Hi everyone, I wanted to share this quote since I believe we can make of this world a better place if we love our neighboor. "No body becomes poor by helping others".Today at the supermarket, there was an old lady who was trying to read the price of some noodles, but no body understood her since she didn't speak English. My husband and I got close to her and asked her if she needed help (in spanish) and she said yes. She wanted to buy a few ramen noodles and we noticed that she didn't have enough money when she was counting the coins she had in her little coin purse. So we asked her if she needed anything else besides the ramen, to what she said she needed more things but she didn't have money. That's when we should act like Jesus and out of love help others. We bough her food, fruits and beverages and gave her what it was left in our pocket. At the end, the old lady thanked us and told us that she wanted to cook something for her grandson whose father is in the hospital. You'll never know how you can help someone if you don't ask. Let's spread Love.

Him and I try to help others as we can and if can't we bring them to God in our prayers. We should have a sensitive heart

Hola todos, quería compartir esta frase porque creo que podemos hacer de este mundo un lugar mejor si amamos a nuestro prójimo. '"Nadie se convierte en pobre ayudando a otros". Hoy en el supermercado, había una anciana que estaba intentando leer el precio de los fideos, pero nadie pudo ayudarla ya que ella no hablaba Inglés. Nos acercamos a ella y le preguntamos si necesitaba ayuda (en Español) a lo que la señora contestó que sí. Notamos que ella no tenia dinero suficiente cuando la vimos contar las moneditas que tenia en su monedero pequeño. Le preguntamos si necesitaba algo mas, además del ramen (fideos), a lo que ella dijo que si necesitaba más cosas, pero que no tenía mas dinero. Alli es cuando debemos actuar como Jesús y amar a otros ayudando. Le compramos los fideos, comida, frutas y bebidas y le dimos el resto del dinero que habia en nuestro bolsillo. Al final, la anciana nos agradeció y nos dijo que quería cocinar algo para su nietecito, cuyo padre está en el hospital. Nunca sabrás cómo puedes ayudar a alguien si no preguntas. Reguemos Amor por donde vayamos.
Él y yo tratamos de ayudar a los demás y si no se puede entonces los traemos delante de Dios en nuestras oraciones. Deberíamos tener un corazón sensible. 

About the Look: If you have read some of my posts you know that sometimes when I don't know what to wear I think of one color. In one of my latest post I thought of brown and played with the shades giving me a monochromatic look. You know when sometime you can't even think of one hue? Well, I asked my husband to tell me a color, he said BLUE. I thought OK I don't have many shades of blue so that I can pull a look like my monochromatic one so I decided to combined the blue with browns lol. I was thinking what I can wear with this simple skirt & tee that would make them look better, so I thought pairing it with my LV bag, gorgeous orange Zara sandals and this necklace to add more statement to the outfit. I would never have thought about pairing blue with brown or with some orange, but I think it didn't come out bad, don't you think?

Sobre el Look: Si sigues este blog, habras notado que a veces cuando no sé qué ponerme pienso en un solo color. En uno de mis últimas publicaciones pensé en marrón y jugue con las derivaciones de ese color, lo cual me dio un look monocromático. Te ha pasado que a veces ni puedes pensar en un solo color al momento de vestirte? Bueno, le pedí a mi esposo me dijera un color. El me dijo azul. Y me puse a pensar que no tengo varias piezas azules, solo esta falda y remera. Decidi combinar estas simple piezas con algo que elevara el look de mi vestuario asi es que lo combine con este bolso marroncito de LV, sandalias anaranjaditas de Zara y un collar que resaltara encima de una simple camiseta. Nunca hubiera pensado en mesclar un combo azul con marrones y toques anaranjados, pero siempre hay una primera vez y el resultado no salio muy mal, cierto?

I love pastel, vivid and bold colors for Summer. Creating this color palette from the warm side of the color wheel just makes me happy. And about the shoes; I'm so pleased with these floral flats because they are not only cute but they are also comfortable. I'm your type of casual girl who like to feel comfortable most of the times.

Monochromatic Look :: Shades of Brown

Hi dolls! I don't usually wear monochromatic outfits so I thought it was time to give it a try. It all started from the bottom, yes, my shoes. I wanted to wear these gorgeous brand new BCBG pumps I got from ShopGoodWill. I have a few brown items in my closet and the idea, how about if I play around with a variety of shades of brown popped into my head. It reminded me of my "Color Theory" class,.e.g like if I have brown, I just darken or lighten it to see what new shades can be produced. Just think "monochromatically"

Hola queridas! Por lo general, no suelo vestir trajes monocromáticos, asi es que pense que es tiempo de darle un intento. Todo comenzó con la idea de vestir estos zapatos (nuevos) BCBGeneration que compre en "ShopGoodWill". Me dije: Que honda si visto la variedad de colores del marron. Me hizo recordar a mi clase de arte donde por ejemplo; agarras un color y le agregas diferente cantidades de blanco lo cual te da ra muchas variedades. Aqui pensé en marron. Estos zapatos son color piel, lo que es un color bien claro del marron despues de agregar blanco ;) Si no sabes que vestir, dale un intento a la honda monocromatica ;)
