Who says we can't wear flag inspired looks after 4th of July? I don't :) I noticed that after this holiday was over, I still wanted to wear looks inspired on these primary colors; red and blue. With a touch of yellow for one look and a touch of turquoise for the other one were the choices I took. Here are the ones I have worn so far. 

Spanish: Quien dice que no se puede vestir atuendos inspirados en la bandera despues que el feriado paso? Yo no :) He notado que dias despues, me quedo con las ganas de seguir vistiendo atuendos inspirados en estos colores primarios; rojo y azul. Con un toque de amarillo para un atuendo y un toque de turquesa en el otro fueron las alternativas que elegi. Estos son unas ideas que he vestido.

oh my, I just love these crocs! they are super comfortable! It comes in handy when I have to walk a lot and it is easy to my back.

Español: oh mi Dios, me encanta estas chatitas porque son tan, tan comodas!!! las uso mucho cuando tengo que caminar un monton y mas aun cuando uno tiene una espalda delicada.

DIY Colorblock Sandals :: Two Looks

Hi dolls! How was your weekend ? Hope it was great :)

Last Saturday, I posted a DIY of these colorblock sandals, so here are two way I have worn them so far.

El Sabado comparti un DIY (Hazlo Tu Misma) de estas sandalias de bloques de color, asi es que hoy quise compartir dos estilos de como las vesti. 

First Outfit: I paired them with distressed jeans, a fringe top and fringe bag hoping to achieve a boho/hippie style which I love. I'm a big fan! I love this woven hat because of it's earthy feeling.

Primer Atuendo: Las combine con estos jeans destruidos, un top y bolso de flecos esperando a adquirir una honda bohemia o hippi de lo cual soy una gran fan :) Me encanta este sobrero por el sentimiento eco que agrega al look.

Second Outfit: Who would have thought about these two hues together? I wouldn't! By putting these two pieces on my bed, the idea of adding more pastel colors (color block sandals) was clear to me.

Segundo Atuendo: Quien pensaria que estos dos colores se verian bien juntos? Yo no lo hubiera pensado!Poniendolos juntos en la cama se vio bien y la idea de agregar mas colores pasteles (sandalias bloques de color) fue clara.

DIY Color Blocking Wedges

Hi everybody,
I thought sharing a DIY project for this weekend would be fun. Here I took some slightly bland wedges and made them a bit more fun and lively for the summer (I painted them last year). I got inspired by the Giuseppe Zanotti color-block sandals.

What you need:

• Shoes
• Acrylic Paint
• Acrylic Paint Sealer. You can use "Krylon 1305 UV-Resistant"
• Brushes
• Wax Paper
• Water (for rinsing brushes)
• Masking Tape (to guard borders and cover every part that you don't want to paint or spray)

Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of the process but just the before and after (If you want, you can follow these instructions where I painted my Pumps - it's the same process). Really you can paint them any way you want, but this is how I did it. I first started with the pink, then with the yellow and the last color I added was the baby blue. .

Hola a todos,

Pense que compartir este manualidad "Hazlo Tu Misma" para este fin de semana seria divertido. Tome estas sandalias de color no muy atractivas y las cambie completamente (las pinte el año pasado). Me inspire en las sandalias de color block de Giuseppe Zanotti.

Lo Que Nesecitas:

• Sandalias
• Pintura acrilica
• Sellador de pintura acrilica. ejemplo: "Krylon 1305 UV-Resistant"
• Pinceles
• Papel de Cera de cocina
• Agua (para lavar los pinceles)
• Cinta adhesiva. (para cubrir cada parte que no quieras pintar)

Desafortunadamente no tome fotos de los pasos solo del antes y despues (si quieres puedes seguir estos pasos de cuando pinte mi zapatos negros en neon - es el mismo proceso).  O los puedes pintar en la manera que te sientas comoda. Yo por ejemplo hice asi: Primero empese con el color rosado, despues con el amarillo y por ultimo agregue el color celeste.

DIY 4th of July Manicure

Happy 4th of July everyone !!!! How about manicure inspired on the beautiful American flag!

You'll need:

• Red, White, Blue and Trasparent nail polish. ( I had mine from last year)
• Toothpick.
• Tape.
• Nail Polish Remover.

Español/Spanish:

 Feliz 4 de Julio a todos!!! Que honda si hoy hacemos manicure inspirada en la hermosa bandera de Los Estados Unidos!!

Necesitaras:

• Esmalte rojo, blanco, azul y transparente. (los mios son del año pasado)
• Palitos de dientes.
• Cinta.
• Removedor de esmalte.

Step 1: Apply red on all your nails except on the ring finger because it will be blue.

Paso 1: Pinta tus uñas de color rojo excepto la uña del dedo anular.

Step 2: After they dry apply long strips of tape along your nails just like in the pictures. Do not apply on the blue nail.

Paso 2: Aplica piezas de cinta adhesiva como se muestra en las fotos. Deja la uña azul sin cinta.

Step 3: After you apply the white nail polish on the gaps made by the tape, start making star shapes using the toothpick (just like in the pictures).

Paso 3: Mientras el esmalte blanco se esta secando, aplica las estrellitas usando el palito de dientes (como se muestra en la foto).

Step 4: After you remove the tape, don't forget to apply the transparent nail polish and use the nail polish remover to clean any mess.
And Voila !!!

Paso 4: Despues de remover los pedacitos de cinta, no te olvides de aplicar el esmalte transparente y usar el quita esmalte para limpiar cualquier exceso en tus dedos.
Y listo !!!

Peplum Skirt:: Red and Black Outfit

I like this style of skirt because of the illusion of curves  that adds to a woman's body. I have to say that I wasn't sure about wearing it because I gained weight and it's tight on the waist. You know, I don't have an small waist and this style helps it look a little bit less wide. This style has been interpreted in many ways from big peplum to small , from fabric that goes around the skirt to two fabric pieces strategically attached to the sides on the hips. There are some skirts that have the extra fabric on the botton of the skirt. You have to choose the one that suits your body the best.

Español: Me encanta este corte de falda porque da la ilusion de curvas a el cuerpo de una mujer. Tengo que decir que no estaba segura de vestirla porque subi de peso y me queda apretadito en la cintura. Tu sabes chica, yo no tengo cintura pequeña ni alli y este estilo ayuda a estilizar un poco. Este estilo ha sido interpretado in varias maneras, desde pequeños cortes a grandes, desde  volantes que va alrededor de la cintura hasta volante que solo va en las caderas. Tambien algunas faldas los traen en la basta. Hay que elegir la pieza que mejor vaya con tu cuerpo.
