Happy 4th of July! This is the third country I have lived in. As the time passes by you get to love your adopted land more and more . Indeed, this is a very beautiful country, my new home. And in honor of their Independence Day, I wore the colors of the flag <3.  Hope you like it.

I have worn this skirt only once before. I was reluctant to wear it again until it got altered. During my trip to Argentina, my mom who is a seamstress, altered it. What a big difference it made. First of all, Happy 2014 everyone! I hope you all had a great season of holidays. I wish you all the best!

Secondly, I'm sorry I wasn't able to keep in touch since I was overseas and didn't have access to internet. I had a great time with my family, I already miss them a lot :( 

Now talking about style. As many of you have seen on the runways or on many fashionistas, the oversized coat trend is big this season. From big shoulders and big structured bodies, to pastel colors, they have invaded the fashion world. I personally think we all should own at least one piece of great outwear. I was hoping to get my hands onto a big long wool coat for the longest time, and I was finally able to get this after black Friday. The style is timeless and so is the color, and I can dress it down or up for any occasion. For instance to a fancy night out like this one with my husband for a holiday party ,or with boots or sneakers for every day life.

En segundo lugar, lo siento que no pude mantenerme en contacto desde el extranjero ya que no tenia buen acceso a internet. Lo pase re lindo visitando a mi amada familia. Ya los extraño muchisimo :(

Ahora hablando de Moda y Estilo. Como muchos de ustedes han visto en las pasarelas o en muchos amantes de la moda, la tendencia de abrigos de gran tamaño es lo mas esta temporada. Desde hombros anchos y grandes cuerpos estructurados, hasta de colores pastel, han invadido el mundo de la moda. Personalmente creo que todos deben poseer al menos una gran pieza de abrigo buena. Tenía la esperanza de adquirir un abrigo de lana largo, grande, durante mucho tiempo, y finalmente pude hacerlo después del dia de Accion de Gracias (dia de ofertas). El estilo de este abrigo no pasa de moda ya que tiene ese clasico sentido y el color tambien lo es. Lo puedo vestir en forma casual o sofisticada, para cualquier ocasión. Por ejemplo, para una noche de glamour como a la que mi esposo y yo atendimos (fiesta de trabajo-fin de año). O tambien lo puedo vestur para la vida diaria con botas o zapatillas ;)

Love pairing black and gold accents. As soon as I got these pumps I knew I had to combine them with this edgy clutch. 

Ok, I didn't plan to post this picture, but the expression on my face says a lot. Right when we were taking these pictures, I saw a naked lady walking in the lobby of the hotel, going to the front desk, lol! It was priceless. She was wearing feathers on her head and got locked out of her room. And I thought those things only happen in movies.

Hi beauties! First of all, I wanted to say thank you so much for your support, and  lovely comments :)

I hope you enjoyed my first look as part of Project FAB by Marshalls. I took this opportunity to plan ahead and write down what pieces I needed in my closet and what I would wear during Fall as well. When money is tight, you need to learn how to economize and planned based on your needs. That's one thing I have learned in life.

Espero te hayas deleitado con el primer look que subi como parte del "Projecto FAB" de Marshalls. Tome esta oportunidad para planear de antemano y escribir las cositas que necesitaba y de paso usarlas para la temporada que viene, Otoño/Invierno. Cuando se vive con una economia limitada, uno tiene que aprender a economisar y planear basado en las necesidades. Eso es algo que aprendi desde temprana edad en mi vida.

* Skirt: I knew I needed pencil skirts, I had a blue one in my list and an animal print one for Autumn. Actually, my husband was the one who found it on the rack. I had fun having him help me on my search, but I have to supervise because he will pick everything just in case lol. I fell in-love with it. The sequins are not shiny, it's very haute couture and it looks very luxurious (the pics don't do it justice). There is no way one can find such a gorgeous skirt for under $20!

* Shirt: A magenta shirt was on my wish list as well. It such a staple and classy piece that I can wear it during the whole year.

* Falda: Ya sabia que necesitaba faldas de corte lapiz, escribi una azul en mi lista y una de estampado de animal para el Otoño. Actualmente, mi esposito fue quien encontro esta falda mientras buscabamos. Me diverti buscando con la ayuda de mi amado, pero tuve que supervisarlo ya que si fuera por el, me hubiera dado cada falda que encontraba jajajaja.. La verdad que me enamore de esta faldita. Es de lentejuelas, pero de esas que no brillan. Es hermosa, fina y de alta costura (las fotos no le hacen justicia). Ni alli que uno puede encontrar una pieza como esta a menos de 20 dolares!

* Camisa: Una camisa magenta tambien estuvo en mi lista. Es una pieza tan clasica la cual la puedo vestir durante todo el año.

As soon as I bought these garments I knew I wanted to pair them together. There is something about pairing magenta and this animal print that make a very chic, and happy outfit. Regarding the shoes and bag, I wanted to bring out the ivory color of the skirt and wear this gorgeous bag and pumps, which played along with the texture of the skirt. I'm in-love with my first Coach bag ^_^ ! I hope you enjoy this happy & sophisticated look. kisses!

Ni bien compre estas dos prendas, super que queria combinarlas. Hay algo especial y bello al combinar el color magenta con el estampado de animal/serpiente. Se convierte en un look elegante y feliz. En cuanto a los zapatos y cartera, quise rescatar el color perla de la falda y usar los accesorios en ese tono y al mismo tiempo agrego un toque mas interesante a la familia de texturas/materiales. Estoy encantada con mi primera cartera Coach ^_^ ..y que mejor manera de combinarla con este atuendo. Espero este feliz look y sofisticado sea de tu agrado. besitos !

When I read the quote by Karl Lagerfeld, I felt great and warm! It's true that women are the most perfect dolls.
When we were little we used to play with dolls, but now that we are all adults, we are our own dolls. We get to dress up and look good which make us feel great. I think it is a type of caress that we owe to ourselves.
About this look. I did feel like a doll when I wore this outfit. For the past weeks our days have been very cold, but this coat kept me toasty. I usually wear high boots everyday because I have to wait for the bus and the train to go to college, but when I have to ride in my husband's car I usually wear pumps or flats like this day. I scored this beautiful vintage coat via shopgoodwill.com and even thought it is a little bit big, I want to rock it. Would you do the same?
I decided to pair this military look with my leopard pumps because I think leopard print looks great with green.

Cuando lei la frase por Karl Lagerfeld, me senti halagada! Porque es verdad, la mujer es la muñeca mas perfecta.
Cuando eramos pequeñas usuabamos jugar con muñecas, pero ahora que somos adultas, somos nuestras propias muñecas. Nos llegamos a vestir y lucir lindas, lo cual nos hace sentir muy bien. Creo que es una forma de caricia que nos debemos a nosotras mismas.
Ahora a hablar sobre el atuendo. Si me senti como una muñeca cuando vesti esta ropa. Estas semanas han sido bien frias, pero este abrigo gigante me mantuvo calentita. Usualmente visto botas altas cada dia porque tengo que esperar por el bus y el tren para ir a la preparatoria, pero cuando salgo con mi esposo en el auto, suelo usar tacos o ballerinas. Compre este hermoso abrigo via shopgoodwill.com (es como ejercito de salvacion) y aunque es un poco grande, lo visto de todas maneras. Tu harias lo mismo?
Decidi combinar este atuendo de una honda militar con estos tacos de estampado leopardo, ya que se ven re lindos con verde.
