Tie-Dye DIY Outfit

Trends come and go, but style remains. We have seen this trend before, and now it's time to add your personal touch and style to it. This is my first time trying it and I think it's fun. It kind of reminds me of the floral trend because of the abstract shapes and variety of shades(Floral jeans are so hot right now). If you don't want to spend money on the floral trend, you might want to try make your own abstract patterns by doing some tie dye like I did here and also check how I change them into skinny jeans here

Tendencias vienen y se van pero estilo permanece. Hemos visto esta tendencia antes y ahora es tiempo que le agregues tu toque personal, tu estilo. Esta es la primera vez que lo pruebo y esta divertido. Me hace recordar un poco a la tendencia de Floral por lo que tienen parecidos formas abstractas y variedades en color (La tendencia floral en pantalones esta muy de moda ahora). Si no quieres gastar dinero en esa tendencia, quizas te animes a hacer tu propio diseño abstracto por medio de teñirlos tu misma, asi como yo hice aqui y tambien chequea como los torne de jeans amplios a delgados aqui

(I put this outfit together for the pictures and so that you guys see how these pants turned out) In this first try I wanted to give it a sophisticated touch by pairing it with this black blazer and pumps. If you noticed, I kept my accessories minimal since the jeans bring a lot of drama already. I gave a pop of color by wearing hot pink nail polish and pinkish lipstick. There are other ways to rock these pants like teaming it up with only a white t-shirt or blouse and a fun colored bag. You can also wear a bold colored top. Have fun adding your own style.

Presta atencion que mantuve mis accessorios bien minimo. Hay varias maneras de vestir estos pantalones como combinarlos con una simple remera/top/polo/blusa blanca y una cartera de color. O tambien vestir un top de color. Divertite agregandole tu propio estilo.

DIY: Skinny Jeans

I just made these tie dye jeans but the work was not over because I decided to change the cut. So, this is my how to make wide leg jeans into skinny jeans guide.

Desteñi estos pantalones, pero el trabajo no termino alli. Decidi cortarlos. Me quedaban grandes y amplios de piernas. Asi es que aqui te comparto como los transforme

Step 1:
Turn the jeans you want to modify inside out.
 Place the Skinny jeans on top of the jeans you want to modify.Line up the crotch seams as your reference point along with the inseams. (See the line of the lower leg in the picture)

Paso1:
De adentro para fuera deben de estar los pantalones que queres cortar. Pone los pantalones delgados encima de los amplios asi como en la foto. Estos pantalones delgados (que te queden bien) seran usados como referencia. Fijate que los tiros esten alineados. No te preocupes de la parte del costado de afuera de tu pantalon porque esa parte sera cosida. 

Step 2:
Use a pen to trace the out-seam of the skinny jeans onto the leg of the jeans you are modifying.
Sew long stitches along the trace line.(This is so you can easily remove them if you need to change the fit)
Turn the jeans back right-side out and try them on to make sure they fit your leg correctly.

Paso 2:
Yo use un marcador para trazar la linea de afuera. Marque desde la parte de abajo hasta la cintura (tenbia que coser la cintura tambien). Cose por donde marcaste con puntadas largas ya que es facil de removerlas despues.  Pone tus jeans al derecho y probatelos para ver si te quedan bien.

Step 4:
Once you have the fit correct, go over your long stitches with your sewing machine, or small stitches by hand as I have done below. I chose to cut off the extra fabric.

Paso 4:
Despues que corregiste y estas segura que te quedan bien, debes de coser en tu maquina de coser o a mano como hice yo. Yo cosi con puntadas pequeñas como ves en la foto.

And Voila !

DIY: Bleached Jeans

Hi darlings, how was your weekend? I spent mine doing some tie dye. I have seen many celebrities wearing this trend like Drew Barrymore, Olivia Palermo and others. I like this patterns because they kind of look like flowers.

Hola chicas, aqui les dejo una idea de como desteñir sus pantalones. Esta tendencia se ha visto por todos lados. Las celebridades ya la estan vistiendo. 

What You Need

• A pair of jeans 
• Water
• Bleach
• Rubber bands
• Cleaning Gloves

Español:    
Lo que necesitas

• Un par de jeans
• Agua
• Lavandina (Lejia)
• Banditas elasticas
• Guantes
• Y desde luego un balde

Step 1:

Grip and twist small portions of your jeans. Secure these twisted parts tightly with the rubber bands. 

(The area held tightly by the bands will remain dark and unbleached so if you want more dark areas, make more or larger tight areas.)

Be careful with the crotch/groin area. (usually better if you just leave these areas untied to be bleached.)

Paso 1:

Sujeta (ata, amarra) en nudos pequeños o grandes usando las banditas elasticas. Las areas apretadas por las banditas elasticas quedaran oscuras. La lavandina o lejia no desteñira las partes atadas. Si queres mas partes oscuras usa mas banditas.

Step 2:

Submerge the item in a mixture of bleach and water (approximately 3 parts water to 1 part bleach)

This takes about 3 to 4 hour but keep checking it because if it stays too long you will get holes in the jeans. It took me more than 4 hours because I used a lot of water at the beginning. So, I was adding more bleach every so often. You can always add more bleach every time you check it out.

Paso 2:
Sumerge el pantalon en el balde el cual contiene agua y lavandina (lejia). Las medidas aproximadas son 3 partes de lavandina (lejia) por 1 parte de agua. Si agregas una taza de lavandia (lejia) agrega casi 3 tazas de agua. De todas maneras esto puede cambiar ya que cada tanto que chequees puedes agregar mas lavandina dependiendo de cuan rapido y desteñido quieras tus pantalones. Esto tomara mas de un par de horas. No lo dejes por mucho tiempo para evitar se hagan agujeros. 

 Step 3:

Rinse the jeans thoroughly until the bleach is out. (this may take a while)

Paso 3:
Enjuagalos muy bien hasta que no quede rastro de lavandina o lejia. Asegurate que laves los pantalones solos en la lavadora. 

 And Voila !!!

Step 4: Iron your new jeans.

Red and White Floral Cardigan

A laid back floral Sunday. I wear jeans very often. It's kind of my routine, a good one because wearing jeans is so casual and comfy though sometimes changes are more than welcome. That's is why I wanted to wear maxi skirts during last weekend. I wore my blue skirt last Saturday for a late night movie date with my husband and this maxi black skirt last Sunday. Let me tell you, it made me feel good. Don't you get tired of wearing the same thing every day? Maybe you have to follow that dress code due to your job. Enjoy your weekend wearing those unexpected and longed  for changes.

Color Blocking: Hot Pink and Blue

Trying colors is so much fun! Nude pumps and a beige top were a great way to keep the outfit on the good side. I only wore a turquoise ring. This time, I didn't want to wear so many pieces of jewelry since the outfit stands out on its own. Have you tried this trend? Leave your commentaries below.

Español: Vestir ropa colorida es muy divertido! Use zapatos y top de color piel para mantener el atuendo en linea. Solo use un anillo de color turquesa.
